A few days before MEPs are set to vote on the EU's Tobacco Products Directive, supporters of electronic cigarettes have warned that the European Commission's proposals could have dire consequences. According to a campaign called 'For all our sakes save e-cigs', subjecting e-cigarettes to the same system of authorisation as medicines, as foreseen by the Commission and Council, could render them obsolete.
