European ombudsman points to 'maladministration' by EFSA

In a decision published on 27 March, the European Ombudsman, Emily O'Reilly, accuses the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) of "maladministration" for not responding to complainants' allegations that certain members of an agency working group "were in a conflict of interest because of their links with industry," and that there was a lack of impartiality in the composition and functioning of this working group.
