Turkey and European security defence policy: compatibility and security cultures in a globalised world

摘要

Both books reviewed here focus on a very topical issue - the relationship between the European Union (EU) and Turkey with regard to foreign policy and security issues. Turkey has been trying to become a part of the post-World War II European integration process for about more than half a century. Turkey's strategic geopolitical positioning as a bridge between Europe, the Middle East, the Mediterranean, the Black Sea, and South Caucasus makes it an indispensable actor in European security.
