Retrograde reaming of the femoral canal for secondary bilateral osteonecrosis of the knee

The knee is the second most common anatomical location for osteonecrosis after the femoral head. The aim of this paper was, on the one hand, to report the clinical and radiological results of a 57-year-old man, who was treated by mean of retrograde reaming of the femoral canal for secondary bilateral osteonecrosis of the knee, localized in the metaphysis and on the other hand to make a literature review. The quality of the results encourages us to propose this technique for this particular type of osteonecrosis of the knee.
