摘要

This is a very interesting contribution tot he perfor- mance aspects of control systems with saturations on the control variables. An element of particular importance seems to me that the authors focus on local properties instead of the global ones usually considered. This is of course a more realistic frame- work for applications and will produce less con- servative designs. My main comment is on the main finding of the Authors stated in Section 7: ...It is not claimed that performance is not improved when allowing saturation. It is claimed that the saturating controller obtained by our approach does not seem to improve the perfor- mance of the nonsaturating controller obtained by our approach...
