Green Investment Bank Set to Transform Energy Efficiency Sector

The Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills formally launched the Green Investment Bank (GIB) today end of 2012. An early priority area for the Bank is the Non-Domestic Energy Efficiency sector, where investments are expected to include demand reduction and energy management measures, CHP and district heating.Commenting from the launch event, Graham Meeks, Director of CHP and district heating industry body CHPA, the representative welcomed the announcement: ?Combined heat and power, district heating and energy management have a central role to play in the affordable decarbonisa-tion of the UK economy.
