This is an excellent work that fills an important gap in the literature on the ethics of science and technology in particular but also in the philosophy of technology, applied philosophy, and applied ethics more generally. According to the editor-in-chief, the encyclopedia has three objectives: to provide a snapshot of emerging bodies of work in the co-construction of an ethical, scientific, and technological world; to design and build bridges between these not always collaborative efforts; and to promote further reflection, bringing ethics to bear on science and technology, and science and technology to bear on ethics. It satisfies these objectives admirably.
