Lincoln Park in Miami Beach

Lincoln Park is a park covering a hectare in the middle of Miami Beach's inner city. West 8 received the assignment to connect this park with the adjacent New World Symphony Building, a new concert hall/orchestral academy designed by the Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry. The park was also intended as a stage for multimedia presentations. West 8 has created a small park with a soft, green appeal, consisting of a square lawn with lots of palms. The soft grass surface is traversed by hard undulating paths of white concrete.
