Lean Production and EMSs: Aligning Environmental Management with Business Priorities

Lean production and environmental management systems (EMSs) are fundamentally different business initiatives. Yet recent research suggests that the two approaches can be both compatible and synergistic. Organizations have much to gain from properly aligning and integrating their lean and environmental management practices.
