Siemens Acquires German Water Treatment Company

Siemens on Oct. 6 announced the acquisition of the German company SG Wasseraufbereitung und Regenerierstation GmbH (SG Water). The Hamburg-based supplier specializes in water treatment solutions for laboratories and industrial organizations. SG Water's electro-deionization systems and reverse osmosis technology for laboratory and industrial applications will further strengthen the portfolio of Siemens Water Technologies, a business unit of Siemens' Industry Solutions Division. SG Water employs roughly 60 staff members at two locations in Barsbuttel near Hamburg and Haimhausen near Munich.
