Instructions for Authors

Environmental Engineering Science publishes refereed, full length papers, shorter communications, review papers, and letters to the editor. All contributions should conform to the aims and scope of the Journal. The Editors welcome contributions on new topics that fall within the broad scope of environmental engineering science. Papers should be complete and authoritative accounts of work which has special significance and must be presented clearly and concisely. Shorter communications deal with new ideas and specific points rather than developing a theme, and should not exceed the equivalent of 2,000 words including illustrations and tables. Review articles are commissioned by the Editor. Authors wishing to submit a review paper should contact the Editor; letters to the Editors are of two kinds: letters commenting on work published in the Journal should be sent to the Editor; letters concerned with novel and particularly interesting concepts, or giving advance results that will subsequently be reported fully in a paper should be sent to the appropriate Editor in the same way as a paper.
