These are just two of the countless questions that students have asked during the Outdoor Journeys programme - a cross-curricular, student-centred approach to bringing existing curricula alive by taking learning outside the classroom.rnWith the advent of the supportive government policies, such as Learning outside the classroom in England & Wales and Curriculum for Excellence in Scotland, along with a growing body of empirical evidence that can inform practice, teachers have increased licence to enrich student learning by moving beyond the constraints of traditional classroom teaching.
