Finns focus on strategies, EAP review and climate

The thematic strategies, review of the 6th Environmental Action Programme (EAP) and climate issues will be the priorities for Finland's six months in the Council presidency, which kicks off on 1 July, Pekka Jalkanen, director general of the Environmental Protection Department at the Finnish environment ministry, told journalists in Helsinki earlier this month. There will be two Environment Councils during the presidency - in October and December - with an informal ministerial meeting in July.
