Green groups hit out at air quality compromise

The European Environmental Bureau (EEB) has criticised as "inadequate" the compromise on the future ambient air quality directive that MEPs cleared this week. The Brussels-based umbrella group of green organisations argues that the result of the compromise with the Council is a "messy legislative text, providing little clear guidance to national and local authorities for cleaning the air in our cities."
