Commission should stick with original IPPC draft, says industry

The latest draft of the integrated pollution and prevention control (IPPC) directive is too strict and will cut down EU production, according to the Confederation of European Business (BUSINESSEUROPE*). Currently the draft proposal for a revised IPPC directive is in interservice consultation in the European Commission, and the Confederation thinks that proposed changes would dismantle the current system.
