Europe's first biodiesel blend train made its maiden voyage, from London to Llandudno, last week.rnGordon Brown, Chancellor of the Exchequer and prime minister in waiting welcomed the 7 June Virgin Train launch: "I want Britain to be a worldrnleader in the development and use of environmentally friendly fuels, and I believe they will play a fundamental part in our efforts to reduce emissions and tackle climate change."
