EIB and World Bank launch ?50 million carbon fund

Emission trading schemes (ETS) are not just about helping developed countries comply with their Kyoto targets, they also help developing countries achieve sustainable development through the transfer of funds and the development of cleaner technologies. This was the message the World Bank and the European Investment Bank (EIB) wanted to put across at the launch of the Carbon Fund for Europe (CFE), their new joint initiative.
