The European Commission has published draft guidance for compliance with the regulation on registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals (REACH) covering Annex V on exemptions as well as waste and recovered substances.rnThe two documents, which aim to clarify the rules and show how to interpret them have been handed over to the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) for further development in co-operation with member states and stakeholders.rnAnnex V of the regulation sets out substances that are exempt from REACH requirements because their registration is seen as inappropriate or unnecessary and their exclusion does not go against the regulation's objectives.
