EFSA asked to look at Bisphenol A again

The European Commission has asked the EU's food safety agency to assess the study published last month which linked Bisphenol A, the food contact material, with increased risk of heart disease and diabetes. The mandate asks the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) to assess the relevance of the study and its implication for hazard and risk assessment of BPA "as soon as possible."
