Austria notifies household waste draft

Austria has notified a draft concerning packaging to the European Commission. The text, received on 13 June and on standstill (period for comment or objections from the Commission, member states, or interested stakeholders) until 15 September, concerns Salzburg's household waste collection system. It gives provisions for household waste containers with the view of validating the harmonised European Standard ONORM EN 840-1 to 840-6, June 2004. More details on the draft, now only available in German, will be published on the Commission's DG Enterprise website in the next few weeks.
