Poland notifies draft waste law

The European Commission last week received Poland's draft text to transpose parts of the EU packaging and packaging waste directive and the EU waste framework directive. The text is now on standstill (a three month period for comment and/or objection by the Commission, member states and other interested parties) until 27 July. This text transposes the packaging and packaging waste directive 94/62/EC that was before this implemented by Poland's Waste Act of 27 April 2001.
