Waste conference in June

摘要

The revision of the EU waste framework directive, notably the proposed classification of energy efficient municipal waste incinerators as recovery plants, is one of the main topics to be addressed at the 2008 congress of the Confederation of European Waste-to-Energy Plants (Cewep) on 12-13 June in Bordeaux, France. Other issues on the agenda include the impact of the European Commission's energy package and of the Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) Directive. Case studies will focus on improvements to plants' energy output and on their potential to supply district cooling.
