Austria calling for GM legislative review

Austria is calling for a revision of the EU legislative framework for genetically modified organisms in a paper it is to present to the 25 June Environment Council.rnThe paper, which reportedly has only been sent to member states likely to be favourable to Austria's anti-GM stance ahead of the Council meeting, argues for changes that would allow Austria and other countries to ban GM food, feed and crops from their territories.
