US EPA and ECHA join forces on chemicals management

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) signed an important agreement last Friday with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) that will "promote enhanced technical co-operation on chemical management activities." A major area of collaboration will be data-sharing. The partnership was formalised through a statement of intent and highlighted in Washington, D.C. at the 17 December meeting of the Transatlantic Economic Council - established to advance economic integration between the U.S. and EU.
