Sweden and Austria face ECJ threat over industrial permits

Austria and Sweden are to receive final warnings before being referred to the European Court of Justice about more than 70 industrial installations that either operate without permits or run with permits that are now out of date.rnFifty of these plants are in Sweden and 21 in Austria. Under European law, the permits should have been issued by 30 October 2007. Permits are only issued if a number of environmental criteria are met.
