EU approves first five wastes in Green List

Member states have agreed the first five wastes to get into Annex TUB (the "green" list) of the EC Regulation on the transboundary shipments of waste. Annex 11 IB is reserved for green list wastes awaiting inclusion in the relevant annexes of the Basel Convention or OECD Decision on transboundary movement of wastes. The listing of the hitherto unclassified wastes in Annex 1IIB will permit such wastes to be transported to one country or another in the EU without prior notification.
