MEPs call to stop unsustainable raw material use

Current practices on raw materials are unsustainable - if the EU is to fight climate change and boost its economy. That was the message of MEPs last week in Strasbourg, voting on a non-binding resolution on "an effective raw material strategy for Europe". This strategy focuses on access to strategic and critical raw materials as well as on resource efficiency, recycling and substitution of raw materials including efficient waste management.
