Finnish pesticide approvals shift from food to chemicals agency

Pesticide (plant protection product or PPP) risk assessment, authorisation and control duties transferred from the Finnish Food Safety Authority Evira to Finland's new Safety and Chemicals Agency (Tukes) on 1 January.Added to that, chemical product control duties switched from the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) and the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Valvira) to Tukes.
