Green MEPs slam EFSA over Seralini rat study rejection

Green MEPs have hit out at the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) over its rejection of the Seralini et al rat study on the long term health impacts of the genetically modified (GM) maize NK603 and its associated herbicide, Roundup. In a statement, the Greens said that EFSA "jeopardises public confidence" in failing to recognise the need for long term risk assessments.
