Aluminium industry presents low carbon road map

As MEPs gear up to vote on the European Commission's Roadmap to a low-carbon economy by 2050 next week, the aluminium industry has brought out its own roadmap detailing its efforts to cut CO2 emissions. 'Lightening the load' released by the European Aluminium Association (EAA) on 1 March says however that industry must limit its emission cuts given the high price of energy crucial to the manufacturing process and the loss of competitiveness.
