Potocnik eyes comprehensive revision of packaging and waste framework directives

The European Environment Commissioner has admitted that the three waste directives currently under review by the European Commission are not perfect and could do with some modifications. At last week's plastic waste conference, Janez Potocnik said he considered that a simple review of the directives was not enough, as there were some obvious flaws to the packaging and packaging waste, landfill and waste framework directives.
