Chicago- president-elect Obama Dec. 15 announced his nominees to lead the federal agencies and White House offices that will direct environment, climate, and energy policy.rnDuring a news conference, Obama announced he would nominate Lisa Jackson, former commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, as administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency and Nobel Prize-winning physicist Steven Chu as his secretary of energy. Chu is the director of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
