EPA Issues Voluntary Guidelines On Cleanup of Methamphetamine Lab Sites

Citing the "considerable challenges" to health and the environment posed by production of methamphetamine, an illegal drug made up of numerous potentially hazardous chemicals, the Environmental Protection Agency published voluntary guidelines Oct. 6 for cleaning up methamphetamine "lab" sites.rn"Vigilance is warranted" due to the destructive nature of methamphetamine and the environmental hazards caused by methamphetamine labs, EPA said in its announcement.
