The White House Office of Management and Budget Feb. 18 issued guidance to executive branch agencies and departments on what information they should publicly disclose about government spending under the recently enacted economic stimulus plan.rnThe guidance is intended meet President Obama's goal of ensuring that federal expenditures under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (H.R. 1) "are transparent to the public, and the public benefits of these funds are reported clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner," according to a cover letter signed by OMB Director Peter R.
