The Environmental Protection Agency is proposing revisions to the new source performance standards for solid waste incinerators to control emissions of nine pollutants, including air toxics.rnReleased April 30, the proposed revisions to the new source performance standards for commercial and industrial solid waste incinerators would require the facilities to install controls to reduce emissions of mercury, lead, cadmium, hydrogen chloride, particulate matter, carbon monoxide, dioxins and furans, nitrogen oxides, and sulfur dioxide.
