Solar panel manufacturer Solyndra LLC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy Sept. 6, citing $500 million to $1 billion in assets and an equal amount of debts (In re Solyndra LLC, Bankr. D. The petition, filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, does not mention the $535 million loan guarantee that Solyndra received from the federal government.
