摘要

A Maryland cement manufacturing plant will spend between $20 million and $85 million on projects to cut air emissions or will shut down, resolving allegations it made modifications that increased sulfur dioxide emissions without securing Clean Air Act permits, the Environmental Protection Agency said July 11 (United States v. Holcim Inc., D. Md., No. 11-1119, proposed consent decree filed 7/11/13). The current and former owners of the portland cement plant also agreed to pay a $700,000 fine.
