EPA Issues Final Plan to Clean Up Groundwater at Upstate New York Site

A final plan to address contaminated groundwater at a superfund site in Cayuga County in upstate New York has been completed, the Environmental Protection Agency announced April 9. Groundwater at the Cayuga site is contaminated with volatile organic compounds, the agency said. The finalized plan followed an August 2012 public meeting in Union Springs to explain the cleanup plan, with a 60-day public comment period.
