摘要

Nearly 200 oil and gas facilities in six states meet Toxics Release Inventory emissions reporting thresholds but aren't required to report their emissions, environmental groups said in a Jan. 30 letter to the Environmental Protection Agency. Ninety facilities in Texas, 88 facilities in Colorado, and 14 facilities in Louisiana each emitted more than 10,000 pounds-the reporting threshold for manufacturing, processing or use of certain toxic chemicals-of at least one chemical listed on the TRI for two consecutive years, 13 environmental groups said in the letter. Several facilities in Wyoming, North Dakota and Pennsylvania also topped the threshold for two years in a row, and nearly 400 facilities within the six states crossed the 10,000 pound threshold for at least one year, the groups said.
