Administration Threatens Veto of Measures On Science Advisory Board, Data Disclosure

Bills that would alter the structure and duties of the Environmental Protection Agency's Science Advi-sory Board and require full disclosure of the data behind agency actions would be vetoed if presented to President Barack Obama for consideration, the White House said March 3. The House plans to vote on the Secret Science Reform Act (H.R. 1030) on March 5, while consideration of the EPA Science Advisory Board Reform Act (H.R. 1029) has been postponed until the week of March 16, according to the office of House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.).
