Idaho Power Co. is allowing oils, greases, cooling water, and other substances to be released from its dam into the Snake River in violation of federal water pollution law, a conservationgroup told a federal court in the state Thursday.The company owns and operates the Brownlee Dam, and Snake River Waterkeeper says it originally sought a permit authorizing discharges from a second powerhouse, which has oneunit.The EPA issued a draft permit in 2018 that was intended to address the type of discharges associated with the dam.
