The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation's approval of a canal maintenance project in Nevada should be withdrawn because it failed to consider alternatives that won't cut off water to a groundwater aquifer, a city tells a federal court in the state.The agency failed to consider the environmental impacts of the proposed Truckee Canal Extraordinary Maintenance Project, including impacts to groundwater levels and to the City of Fern ley municipal water system, according to the complaint in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada.
