The European Commission outlined proposals to slash pollution from cars, airplanes and vessels inan effort to put the region on track to reach climate neutrality by 2050.The EU’s regulatory arm wants to have at least 30 million electric vehicles on the region’s roads by2030 in its sustainable mobility strategy published Wednesday. It also wants to see zero emissionlarge aircraft and vessels “ready for market” by 2035 as part of the European Green Deal -- asweeping economic overhaul that bids for the bloc to zero-out greenhouse gases by the middle ofthis century.
