Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina Join to Push Offshore Wind

Maryland, North Carolina, and Virginia are teaming up to boost development of regional offshore wind projects. Govs. Larry Hogan (R), Roy Cooper (D), and Ralph Northam (D) pledged to reduce administrative burdens and take other steps to fuel the wind energy industry in a memorandum of understanding signed Thursday. The governors said they want to take advantage of a fast-growing, global industry “that has significant potential to drive economic development and job creation as well as reduce the emission of greenhouse gases and other harmful air pollutants.”
