Sustainability is seen by critics as a misguided effort by corporations trying to meet rising public expectations of business.rnObservers might be forgiven for their disbelief when the corporate world trumpets an agenda to eradicate disease, solve world hunger and tackle climate change. When a behemoth such as Wal-Mart announces its plans to sell products that sustain our resources and the environment, a healthy dose of scepticism is surely required.
