From a pool of more than 800 sus-tainability reports submitted for the inaugural GRI Readers Choice Awards, 78 have made the shortlist.rnThousands of people went online throughout October to December 2007 to assign scores to the reports of interest to them - giving companies a score of between one (low) and five (high) points for each of five scoring criteria including materiality, stakeholder inclusiveness, and quality.rn'The worldwide response to this opportunity has been overwhelming,' said Ernst Ligteringen, chief executive of the Global Reporting Initiative.
