Urban policy and the future of cities: an interview with Josef Konvitz

Josef Konvitz, who has very recently retired as an international civil servant, worked on urban issues and urban policy for a large part of his career. He is currently a Visiting Professor with The Cities Group, Department of Geography, King's College London. After nearly twenty years on the history faculty at Michigan State University, in 1992 Konvitz took a position as Principal Administrator in the Urban Affairs Division, then part of the Environment Directorate of the Paris-based Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OWCD).
