Activists Urge New Toxicity, Effectiveness Tests In EPA Dispersant Rules

Citing concerns about the potential adverse impacts of dispersants being used on the Gulf oil spill, environmentalists and community activists are urging EPA to strengthen its testing requirements before approving dispersants to break up oil spills by mandating that companies conduct first-time testing of the chemicals' chronic toxicity and new testing on their effectiveness.
