摘要

EPA officials at a Sept. 26 meeting said the agency is on schedule to issue a final user fee rule for its new electronic manifest (e-manifest) hazardous waste system by December, and to launch the system by next June, even as the program faces an uncertain budget and lingering industry and state concerns over its implementation. Nigel Simon, acting principal deputy assistant administrator for the Office of Land and Emergency Management (OLEM), told the agency's e-manifest advisory board at a Sept. 26 meeting that the agency is "looking forward to another busy year," as it is in the "final stretch" to launch the system in June 2018.
