Australia needs to assess existing infrastructure

I applaud the recent initiatives of the federal government and Engineers Australia in regards to Infrastructure Australia, the Infrastructure Report Cards and now Infrastructure Spending per Capita reports. However, like many initiatives, we are again focusing on growth and new assets and not on managing the massive infrastructure portfolios that provide the bulk of our national services, both public and private, such as airports.
